Hi Mar,
Well let’s just say that you’re on the path to more love and happiness. When we pursue a relationship to make us happy, it fails us. When we focus on what we can control that makes us happy and joyfilled… that’s the path to more life. And lets be honest, most of us have pursued a relationship thinking “SHE” will make us happy only to discover we are more miserable than when single. No one person can make us happy, that’s our job to handle for ourselves.

The lessons you are learning are so important to actually being in and having a great relationship. Being happy with yourself, being accepting of yourself (all of you) and doing what makes you happy. That makes for a very attractive and interesting woman. And that’s when you can find someone who is a great fit for who you really are instead of someone to take away the feeling of loneliness.

spent time with family in new York I live in new jersey and had lots of time to catch up with them it was most enjoyable and it helped to take me away from my own life and thoughts and help me to reconnect with them

I had a couple of crushes this past summer; whether the other person had any interest in me, I don’t know. I pretty much stepped back from the situation and let it go. Truth be told Mary, I’ve let go of the idea of being with someone. I’ve decided that I’m interested in connecting with women as friends; it’s less stressful, lol. I feel as though I need to be in a better place financially/materially, before I even think about being with someone. We like to think that these things don’t matter, but in a town like LA, they do; people want to know that you’re stable and about something. I do notice that women like me, but not romantically; well, to be honest I’ve had a couple of women who’ve shown some interest, but i’m not attracted to them that way. I really do think that I’m not much of a prospect for most of these women. I have little to offer…I admit I’m lonely as hell and it would be beautiful to love and be loved, but I accept that it’s not happening. Going out has been depressing of late and I usually come home feeling shitty about myself. I don’t want to get mired in these thoughts, it’s too distracting and it does not serve me. They’re are other parts of my life that are flourishing, and doors are opening. I want to focus on that. At the moment, the things in my life that make me happy, have nothing to do with being in a relationship. Making art and challenging myself to be the best i can possibly be at it, spiritual growth, things that reinforce who i am in a positive way; that’s where I want to put my full attention…I’m learning that it’s ok to be by myself…
