This is all new to me since I have come out later in life. I was never good at “dating” and the thought of asking a woman out is overwhelming. My goal this year is to try and be more ” out there” in hopes of meeting other lesbians who might be interested in sharing a meal or coffee with me. I am at heart very shy and the few attempts I made at getting to know other lesbians was not a positive experience for me.
I would welcome any suggestions on meeting/dating women since I know very few lesbians.

I made it my goal to ask a dozen women on dates last year — and so I did. Actually, I made it to 15. Lots of wonderful dates. Even a couple of second dates — and one woman I dated for a couple of months. Still single, but it was a great experience. It felt hopeful. I did utilize match.com for a couple of them, but most I met through parties and such. I liked having a challenge (it was my new year’s resolution), and it was an interesting experience.
